Sally Skelton, an 18 year old singer/songwriter, who has recently emerged into the Australian Music Scene and shot to a national profile and recognition as a contestant on THE VOICE 2017 and again on THE VOICE 2018. Growing up in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Sally met her music tutor who lived at the end of the road at the age of 7.
As well as performing in local theatre productions, Sally soon began writing music and collaborating with other artists. Recording her first song at the age of 14, produced by accomplished recording artist Carl Wockner, she then went on to gig locally and perform at Music Festivals such as The Caloundra Music Festival.
Sally continues to gain recognition from industry greats including Glenn Wheatley after winning Fast Track's 2015 best singer/songwriter and of course from her heart stopping battle/knock out rounds representing TEAM KELLY, on THE VOICE 2017, where she was pipped at the post and just missed out on going through to lives only to return the year after in 2018 To make it to lives and the top 8.
Sally attended our workshop on Day 3 with a fun Q & A session and a 2-3 song live performance as well as one on one mentoring with our SOLO workshoppers. We were beyond excited to have Sally a part of our September Popstar Kidz workshop and everyone was inspired by one of QLD's very own Super stars on the rise.
